This instrument was built in 1909 by the Steinway Piano Company in New York, NY. It is easily recognizeable as a Model O due to its totally round nose. It is 5'10" in length.
The restoration of this fine grand piano will include:
new soundboard
new bridge caps
new 5-ply Maple Bolduc pinblock
new Mapes strings
new wippens
new key bushings
new hammers, hammer shanks and flanges
Also included is a new back action, new blued tuning pins, new nickel-plated hardware and screws as well as all new felts.
The African Mahogany case will be refinished in a brown tone, hand rubbed lacquer finish.
The original ebony and ivory keyboard will be retained due its excellent condition.
A new artist's bench will be finished to match the piano.
