Restoration Project
When Marty tunes a piano for me to perform on, I hear clear tones in the treble, in tune octaves in both the treble and bass, and stability due to his technique. I would recommend him for any type of piano service!

Full Restoration of a 1909 Steinway Model O

Steinway Model O with new sounding board, finish, and strings installedThis instrument was built in 1909 by the Steinway Piano Company in New York, NY. It is easily recognizeable as a Model O due to its totally round nose. It is 5’10” in length.

The restoration of this fine grand piano will include:

Steinway DecalAlso included is a new back action, new blued tuning pins, new nickel-plated hardware and screws as well as all new felts. The African Mahogany case will be refinished in a brown tone, hand rubbed lacquer finish. The original ebony and ivory keyboard will be retained due its excellent condition. A new artist’s bench will be finished to match the piano.

The two main reasons a piano goes out of tune: humidity changes and time.
