Full Restoration of a 1909 Steinway Model O

Steinway Model O with new sounding board, finish, and strings installedThis instrument was built in 1909 by the Steinway Piano Company in New York, NY. It is easily recognizeable as a Model O due to its totally round nose. It is 5’10” in length.

The restoration of this fine grand piano will include:

Steinway DecalAlso included is a new back action, new blued tuning pins, new nickel-plated hardware and screws as well as all new felts. The African Mahogany case will be refinished in a brown tone, hand rubbed lacquer finish. The original ebony and ivory keyboard will be retained due its excellent condition. A new artist’s bench will be finished to match the piano.

Simply moving a piano a short distance (across the room, from house to house or from a nearby town) does not make it go out of tune. Moving a piano across the country, through different temperatures and different levels of humidity will cause a piano to go out of tune.
